About Me

I was born on December 19th, 1994, in Bucharest, Romania. I think the English spelling of the city's name is terrible-- in Romanian it's spelled BucureČ™ti. Bucurie is the Romanian word for happiness. That can't be a coincidence.

I tend to ramble about things I like, and I ramble about things I hate. On subjects I don't care about, I'll usually shrug or think about what I'm saying.

I've been reading since I was five years old and memorizing kid books. I'll read anything classic, mostly out of a sense of duty and being able to brag about it. Also because... well, if they're classics, they must have been good.

I've been writing since I was nine-- the book I wrote was... terrible. The books I've written since then have gotten steadily better. Immeasurably. I detest writing screenplays and kind of like writing poems, though I don't do it nearly enough.

I love planning and deadlines. I also love adjusting these plans-- often I'll overachieve on something, and then I have to rethink my strategy. But I don't mind at all.

I also love listening to music and looking at pretty drawings. Though I studied piano for four years and flute for two, my singing is only okay, and my composing skills are terrible. While I've been trying to draw since I was little, I never get far because I am a perfectionist when it comes to drawing. When something doesn't come out right, I get discouraged and stop. I have the benefit of having a sister who's a wizard at both these things, though.

I'm traveling the world from October 16th, 2011 to January 2013. The family blog is at http://noi6.blogspot.com. My impressions of the world around me are at http://wywamino.blogspot.com.

About Thinks

Thinks is a blog started in 2010, as a place where I could write about my projects and writing.

It's now evolved into a place where I can:

  • Post about my writing
I might, at some point, start reviewing books, but right now with the trip I'm not very likely to get new books to review.

About the Header

It was taken by my father in Chitwan, Nepal, as we were taking our rest break. Then I edited it a bit in GIMP to make the yellow-greens more aqua-ish.
